How to use and maintain

A closed comb safety razor is suitable for a comfortable and controlled shave. Place a sharp double edge razor blade in the razor and check that it is aligned properly. Once the blade is fitted correctly, the razor is ready to use. Build a lather with a shaving brush and a shaving soap or shaving cream and apply it to the face to lift the hairs and prepare the skin for shaving. Unlike a Gillette system, a safety razor does not have a pivoting head. Keep the razor at an angle of about 35° against the face. This is especially important around the jawline and neck. Because a safety razor shaves more directly with a single blade, it can cause irritation at first if you shave too quickly. Always shave calmly and without pressure.
